Rinspeed sQuba
Inspired by a James Bond movie the Rinspeed sQuba was the first car that could ‘fly’ under water in 2008...
The Concept Car sQuba was the first project we joined as a partner of Frank M. Rinderknecht. We created product innovations to develop a unique look & feel for the automotive visions of rinspeed. The idea of the sQuba was to create a submersible car that moves like a fish in water.
The first step was removing the combustion engine and replacing it by several electric motors.
For certain surfaces we developed three exclusive d-c-fix® adhesive films: One sharkskin to underline the aerodynamic character another one with a design of a perforated plate and the third one with embossed fishes. Totally the Rinspeed sQuba has an ironic and funny USP.
